Streetsboro Police Department - 2007

On December 15, 2007 Streetsboro Police Officers and Dispatchers went shopping for 49 needy children from our community on a shopping spree at a local Wal-Mart.  Members of the police department sold over 2,000 Shop With A Cop raffle tickets.  Altogether, approximately $9,500 was raised between corporate and individual donations.

Thank you to all of the organizations within the Streetsboro community for their generous assistance to the Shop With A Cop Program, particularly Streetsboro Wal-Mart for their $3,000 donation, Dunkin Donuts for their donations of pastries and hot chocolate, and Pizza Hut for their generous contribution to our hosted pizza party for all of our kids. 

Each of the children were given a police escort consisting of over 75 emergency vehicles from agencies throughout Summit and Portage counties with lights and sirens to the Wal Mart store.

2007 was the fourth consecutive year the Streetsboro Police Department has participated in Shop With A Cop.  Thank you to everyone who contributed to making the program so successful and helping kids and families who truly deserve it.
